English Ver.
After the crimson seal opened, Lune found herself standing alone before a dark altar in the unfamiliar depths beneath the cathedral.
The space, where light and shadow tangled together, felt like the very border where consciousness and the unconscious met, exuding an air both mysterious and unbearably heavy.
With every step she took, an indescribable tremor stirred deep in her chest.
Even before her fingertips touched anything, her body was already connected—to this place, to the altar, to something waiting beyond it.
Outwardly it was still and indifferent, but beneath that silence, fragments of long-severed memories and feelings glinted like buried blades.
At the very center of the underground chamber, a black crystal hovered in midair.
Inside it, a faint shape—one that resembled Lune—was trapped.
The wavering silhouette shivered as if it knew it was nothing more than the residue of erased memories.
“Who are you…? Why do you feel like me…?”
Her question slipped out in a low murmur.
At that moment, a voice whose owner she could not place echoed from beyond the crystal—or perhaps from somewhere even deeper.
“I am a fragment of the second seal.
The fact that you’ve found me means the abyss has begun to stir again.”
The sigil at Lune’s fingertips flared like a spark.
Lines of crimson came alive, flickering in response.
She tried to pull back, but it was already too late.
The mark burned bright red, as if drawing a line between her chest and her wrist, tying them together.
“This isn’t control… It’s just a reaction.
My will… doesn’t matter in this.”
Her breathing turned shallow. As if she couldn’t bear it, she stumbled away from the altar, step by unsteady step.
At the same time, a strange vibration rippled out from the cathedral into the entire city beyond.
Streetlights across the roads flickered all at once,
and thin cracks, like strands of hair, crept across a portion of the sky.
The fracture had begun to breathe.
Far above, a dark figure descended over the city.
Gerhardt, the watcher bearing a device etched with crimson sigils, gazed down at the suspended shape of the city and spoke in a cold, level tone.
“The hour of awakening has come.
Activate the residual gate.”
Meanwhile, in the underground cathedral before the altar,
Lune could no longer hold herself back and shouted toward the wall.
“Enough!!
You don’t even know who I am, and you keep deciding everything for me!”
On the wall before her, a pattern of countless eyes woven from runes flared into view,
glowing as though hundreds of gazes had converged to watch her all at once.
“You’re being observed, Lune.
Being chosen… means losing just as much freedom.”
A suffocating mix of fear and anger wrapped tight around her.
Yet within that pressure, she forced herself to steady her breath and bit down hard on her lip.
Then, quietly, she made up her mind.
“Fine.
I won’t run anymore.
At the very least… I’ll face the darkness inside me myself.”
In that same instant, somewhere outside the cathedral,
a black hand slipped out from the unseen, slowly reaching toward her back.
But Lune did not turn around.
She felt the cold presence seeping in from behind,
and still, she kept her gaze forward, lifting one heavy foot and taking her next step.
