English Ver.
The forgotten world slowly began to remember itself.
The soft rustle of sand and dust brushing over the ruins sounded like the pages of an ancient book being turned.
At the center of it all stood a lone figure, as if even his breath had dried up and thinned.
He did not know what this place was.
Not what time it belonged to, nor which abyss of memory it had sunk into.
The sky had vanished long ago.
In its place, black fallout drifted through the air,
and atop the endlessly collapsed remains of a city,
layers of memory where past and present were tangled together seemed to breathe in silence.
He wandered through those cracks,
searching for another self that was not “me,”
and yet, somehow, felt irrevocably like him.
“Forgotten names lie sleeping here.”
The voice of a helmed giant rolled through the space.
Each heavy step he took made the dry ground tremble,
and rusted sigils on his shoulders settled heavily over the fractures of memory,
like the weight of stories that had long since been sealed away.
His words broke apart like a parched wind.
“Bearer of the key…
you will call those names again.”
One step. Then another.
His body, pinned down by its own gravity, hardly seemed able to move.
His feet sank into the sand,
and this place—an abyss made into a world—pulled at him from below with relentless intent.
Memories shattered and scattered in every direction, losing all shape.
Like torn strips of film,
snatches of the past slid past his eyes in hazy afterimages.
A child’s cry.
Breaths crushed between oppression and control.
And between them, a narrow, dark door forced open.
Every one of those scenes
was stained by the hands of those who had tried to erase something.
“In that moment, he saw me.
And I… never forgot him.”
A shard of red memory slipped from his blackened hand.
It looked like a fragment of time that had been abandoned.
Its name had long since been lost,
but the instant it was called up again,
the trace of it flared in the dark like a spark.
He stared fixedly at the crimson remnants.
Among the drifting pieces, one fragment stirred.
It carried a presence both familiar and strange.
A past he already knew—
and the shadow that had been watching him from the beginning.
“I am not… exhausted.”
He whispered it to himself.
Before every memory could crumble,
he faced the truth that had existed in that single, fleeting moment.
The “name” he had never known
had not been destroyed.
It had simply been buried,
lying quietly like a snow-covered grave, waiting to be unearthed.
As his feet began to move again,
a vast door somewhere within this endless space
slowly, unmistakably, began to open.
Beneath that threshold,
forgotten names started to awaken, one by one.
And among them, one finally took form.
On a stone bathed in red light,
a single word carved itself into existence—
the true name he had been searching for all along.
“Laenua.”
The wind repeated it in a whisper,
and old memories trapped in the fragments shuddered like a sob.
That name would not be forgotten again.
It would become the song of a reborn existence,
and its echo would roll out across this forgotten world, long and deep.
