— Erebos
English Ver.
Three days after the resonance network was completed,
the city’s unconscious was no longer confined by borders.
The resonance towers of neighboring cities had begun to link themselves together,
and “named sharing” was now spreading across the entire continent.
Lune’s heart now beat with three overlapping rhythms.
Her own pulse.
The deep resonance of Erebos.
And the vast wave of the city.
Every time those three rhythms resonated as one,
it sounded as if a new door were opening somewhere.
And beyond those doors,
the final choice was drawing near.
—
“Lune, anomalous signal detected,”
Ainera’s urgent voice rang out.
On the monitoring room’s main screen, a massive map was displayed.
From the city’s center, circular waves were spreading outward,
and at the points where those waves touched the continent’s other resonance towers,
red fissures had begun to appear.
“This is… connected to every seal,”
Ainera said as she analyzed.
“Your resonance network is resonating with the original E.R.B Core system,
and it’s revealed the location of the final key.”
Bise ground his teeth.
“Final key? What’s that supposed to be?”
Lune already knew.
From deep in her heart, Erebos’s voice rumbled softly.
'It’s you. The shadow of the abyss,
the purification of light, the linguification of memory—
you, who have integrated all of it,
are the key that opens every seal.'
New coordinates appeared at the center of the screen.
Directly beneath the city’s core,
deep under the ruins of the Nexer Cathedral.
—
The path to the cathedral ruins had changed completely.
The sigils carved into the floor now glowed on their own, guiding her way,
and countless whispers in the air seemed to be calling her name.
Ella’s voice: “Thanks to you… I’m not alone anymore.”
The market vendor: “That watch is still keeping its promise.”
Thousands of names blended together into one quiet chorus.
Bise and Ainera followed behind.
“Don’t go alone. This isn’t just your fight,” Bise said.
Lune shook her head.
“No. This time it really is just me.
My heart is what decides everything now.”
The deeper they went underground,
the more enormous patterns appeared along the walls.
The First Seal: Gate of Shadow.
The Second: Gate of Light.
And among the countless other gates,
at the very center—an empty space.
“Final Key.”
A low voice echoed from the middle of the chamber.
It wasn’t Verlar.
It was older—the voice of the system itself.
“You have walked every path.
You have accepted without devouring, named without erasing,
and resonated without fusing.
Now comes the final choice.”
Three doors rose before Lune at once.
A red door.
A white door.
And, between them, a colorless door.
“The Red Door: all things into the abyss.”
“The White Door: all things into purification.”
“The Colorless Door: eternal coexistence.”
Her heart pounded violently.
Erebos’s voice: The one I desire is the Red Door.
The city’s unconscious: We choose the Colorless.
Her own innermost voice: And yet…
Lune stood before the doors and steadied her breath.
“You’re all wrong,” she said.
At her declaration, all three doors shuddered at once.
“The concept of ‘seals’ itself is wrong.
The abyss, purification, coexistence — they’re all separated choices.”
Lune gripped the sigil on her wrist and stepped forward.
She reached not for any of the three doors, but for the empty space between them.
“I choose integration.
A way that does not lose the abyss’s shadow or fear the light’s purification,
and continually rewrites everything in the language of memory.”
In that instant, three lights burst from her heart—
Red.
White.
Gold.
They intertwined, twisting into a new pattern.
The empty space in the center began to shine.
“Final Seal — Gate of All Things — released.”
The earth itself trembled.
The city’s resonance towers all flared at once,
and the emotion meters across the whole continent rang in harmony.
From far away, Verlar’s voice echoed faintly.
“This… impossible… integration…”
But Lune was no longer listening.
As the new gate opened, what she saw beyond was neither a world destroyed nor erased.
It was a sea of memory, endlessly reshaping itself,
where numberless names moved freely.
“The Book of Erebos is now complete,”
the system’s voice proclaimed.
“All seals have vanished.
In their place begins an era in which every being opens its own gate.”
Lune’s heart settled into a single, steady rhythm—
a new color born of red, white, and gold.
Erebos laughed softly.
'Well done. Now I… am free as well.'
The city’s unconscious whispered gently.
*Because of you, we were able to become ‘us’.*
—
When Lune stepped out of the cathedral ruins,
they were waiting for her.
Bise, Ainera, Ella—
and behind them, countless citizens with names of their own.
For the first time, the sky was completely clear.
It didn’t feel like a seal had been lifted,
but as if there had never been one at all—
as if something blocked long ago had simply faded away.
Bise grinned and asked,
“So… is it over?”
Lune shook her head.
“No. This is the beginning.
It’s a world where everyone opens their own gate.”
Beneath her footsteps, an invisible line of text began to write itself.
“In the moment when all named things became free,
the Book of Erebos opened its eternal first page.”
— End of The Book of Erebos.
